Vettec's new silicone packing material is automatically
dispensed under a pad to cushion, seal and protect the equine
foot.
Sil-Pak™ (REF# 46190) is designed for use with pads.
It is an auto-mixing, fast-setting (2 minutes), liquid
addition reaction silicone hoof packing material. This type of
silicone is sometimes referred to as impression material.
Sil-Pak must be used under a pad or hospital plate. It does not
bond, but seals tightly to the sole.
Sil-Pak, when used with hospital plates, is easily removed and
replaced.
Sil- Pak provides an economical cushioned support that retains
its shape and flexibility indefinitely.
Sil-Pak does not contain acids commonly found in many silicones
and leaves the sole in excellent condition.
WHAT SIL-PAK IS NOT
Sil-Pak is not a replacement for Equi-Pak. Equi-Pak does not require
a pad, sets in 30 seconds, bonds to the sole, is very durable,
provides better support, and is highly shock absorbent.
